Marissa Carlson, CPS — Executive Director

Marissa holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Pomona College in California and joined the Teen Institute staff in November of 2009 after six years of volunteering at both the  Summer Leadership Program and Leaders In Prevention. She is a founding member of Mill City Productions – a nonprofit, community-based theatre collaborative in North Adams – and served as their Artistic Director for 6 years. She brings strong communication and facilitation skills to TI and has been working closely with volunteers to move Teen Institute’s programs forward and incorporate her own creative program development and direction. Jessica Pennell — Program Coordinator

Jessica Pennell got involved with the Teen Institute in 2007, when she attended the Summer Leadership Program.  She has volunteered since then in many different capacities, and has been staffing LIP and Summer Leadership Program since 2009.  Jessica goes to school at Chestnut Hill College, where she is studying Biology and Chemistry in hopes of becoming a doctor.  After interning last summer,  she is in the TI office this summer doing program preparation and outreach.  In her spare time, Jessica enjoys breading, owling, and musing about the practical applications of a degree from Hogwarts.  Contact Jessica from May – August at jpennell.ti@gmail.com.

NH Teen Institute also benefits from over 150 youth and adult volunteer staff who help facilitate our programs. We are truly grateful for their ongoing support and leadership to spread the word throughout New Hampshire!
